Dame Edna Everage is the most popular humorist alive ! At least in my opinion. I first became aquainted with her brand of comedy way back in 1991, with her first American TV appearance. I have loved the Grande Dame of Comedy ever since. Her two TV specials included guests such as Sean (oh, Sean, you've shorn you hair !) Young from Blade Runner (Young also tried to be Catwomen, but I guess her hair was too short), Lisa Minnelli and Mel (Beautiful, but Gay unfriendly) Gibson.

If you ever get the chance, you simply must watch one of her shows, or read her tome : Dame Edna's Coffe Table Book !

  Here comes the sun !

She's Just Gorgeous !

Thrilled, I was, to be able to see this master of belittleing others more unforunate that her (him).  Tommy and I got to see her Live, right here in San Francisco (the City). The Theater on the Square - a tucked away little DUMP, was her host(ess).

She made a live call to a babysitter for one of the audience attendees, and what a hoot that was ! (I wished it could have been me !  Jackie was sitting for our cat ! But alas, we were one of the 'fringees' - the right orchestra seats). She said it, but didn't need to, for we knew : I am a Megastar possums !
